· Sweet basil stir-fry sauce 50g
· Thai essentials: dried sweet basil 1g ,
garlic 1g, chilli 1g
WHAT YOU NEED:
· Your favourite meat, seafood or veg
· Oil, garlic, onion

Aromatic sweet basil, the standout herb of Thai cuisine
The sweet basil that grows in Thailand is completely different to the European version. Its intense aniseed fragrance and sweet taste is at the heart of Thai cooking. In this Phat Horapa recipe, sweet basil creates a versatile stir-fry sauce that goes with all types of meat, and especially well with seafood. Even better if you can lay your hands on a few fresh leaves.
EFFORTLESS THAI COOKING – SERVES 2
1.Soak sweet basil: Put the sweet basil Thai essential
into cold water. Leave to soak to release the aromatic oils.
2.Cook meat: Place a wok with a tablespoon of oil on medium heat.
Add a tablespoon of chopped fresh garlic, a handful of chopped
onion and 200g of chicken (or other meat, seafood or veg).
Keep stirring on medium heat till meat is cooked through.
Or do it the Thai way, and be guided by the colour changes.
3.Add Thai essential: Pour in the Grab Thai Go sauce
and bring back to temperature. Drain the sweet basil and add
it to the wok with the other Thai essentials. Stir in well,
then serve with boiled rice.
